Endicia Shipping Module - HS Tariff Number

The customs form information for international shipments in the Endicia module does not contain a field for the HS Tariff Number. My client has had a package returned from Ireland because it "failed electronic customs clearance."

The Irish postal website provides the following information for returned packages:

If your item has been returned to sender or you are awaiting an update on your item, the electronic customs declaration made by the retailer / sender for your item may have been insufficient or invalid. There are a number of reasons your item may be marked as having insufficient data, including but not limited to:
    • The sender has failed to provide a TARIC code. This is a code used to classify the type of goods sent.
    • The sender has provided an incomplete TARIC code.
    • The goods sent are prohibited/restricted.
The customer would like my client to resend the package, but he can't use the Endicia module because there is not a way to add the tariff code.

Where is the HS Tariff Code suppose to be, on the shipping label or somewhere else? Also what USPS shipping method was being used in this case?

The tariff code goes in the contents section. This order only had one product, but each item in the order should have a separate line for the code. As I understand it, it also gets embedded in the QR code or the bar code. Oh, and sorry, it was first class international.

Any updates on this issue? I got a package back from Ireland today with the same sticker.
