Use Paypal with Subscriptions

Is it possible to use Paypal as a payment method for subscriptions yet? I know it was not possible in the past.

You can use Braintree or PayPal Commerce Platform for subscriptions but not a "PayPal" account.

Been a while since I asked about this but I am using PayPal Complete Payments, will subscriptions work with this?
