Hi, I was wondering what's the best way to let users change the language? Is there anything built into Miva 10 or would some sort of Google translate integration work?

Google widget is the only practical way to do this.Bruce Golub

Google Translate is one option. It used to be a JavaScript widget you embed on your store that would allow the customer choose any language. They may have locked it down a bit since I don't see it publicly. I did find this which looks you need to apply for it.

Yup, this won't work cause our site needs to be... academic institution or government, nonprofit, or non-commercial website, you may be eligible to sign up for the Google Translate Website Translator shortcut.
We are none of those. So I guess no one has created a translate module for miva. What about preferred partners, do you know of any that do this already perhaps?

https://gtranslate.io/ seems like something worth looking into. Paid versions seem like the way to go and are reasonably priced. They also have trials for each level of service.
I believe the paid versions are also powered by the Google Translate API with no aditinal cost for API usage.
You may want to check the FAQ section ( https://gtranslate.io/#faq ) under "How does it work?".
Depending on the plan used, you may need to add dns records for subdomains that are connected to each different translated version of the site.Last edited by SidFeyDesigns; 03-01-23, 02:20 PM.Nick Harkins

I am tagging in to see if anyone has implemented these suggestions. I have a store owner that showed me a WordPress/WooCommerce site using it and would like something similar.
