    Thanks for the update.
Will their be an announcement when the GS API is full up again?
We are struggling with this new store, launched 4 months ago, to get products approved on the horror show that is google. Variants in particular. Hours of fiddling with the feed, waiting, checking, more fiddling, over and over ... meanwhile a store that is not functioning well on google.

Brennan Is the Google Marketplace API running again? I was told on Jan 4th that Google deprecated the API and Miva was working on getting it certified again.

We only have a couple of client's using it. Not sure there where any 'native' issues, but...as stated, since this appears to work off of page meta data, some tweaking of that meta data is inevitably required...cause that's why our clients run Miva. OOB, it covers the basics...now, go show me a Miva site that's the 'Basics' (LOL).

So, hook it up and let GSC tell you what's missing (if any).

I've been using Google Shopping via Marketplaces for years on multiple domains. I haven't ever had any issues...

At the end of the day they do the same thing, it just depends on which integration method you prefer.

Also, my understanding is that, using Google Feed, you are pushing data to Google Shopping directly using the GA_ custom fields for a couple of the fields GS want. With the Marketplace integration, you rely on Google reading the microdata on the pages themselves for the information. Therefore, before switching, you should make sure that markup is correct.

Of course, this is entirely from an observational perspective. No idea if its actually true :)

I was going to ask the same question but it looks like this still needs to be answered.

What's the difference between the Miva Marketplace's Google Shopping and using a Marketing: Google shopping Feed.

    (top level stuff only)
Working...
