Credit Card Payment Option & Braintree

Since Braintree detects the credit card type like the PayPal Commerce module, is it possible to have just one option labeled Credit Card on OSEL like in the Shadows Theme?

I would assume I would have to assign each credit card type to a miva variable.

If it is possible, are there any complications or issues that could arise?
