    10.04.01 Deadline

Call me lazy (i'd say its also called too busy), but what's the deadline on 10.04.01? Asking for a friend.

Great question, I often wonder why deadline date is not published?

Finally, are there any known issues with latest update?
    Thank you, Bill Davis

      It's January 2, 2023.

There was a fix in 10.04.01 to fix a price group issue that uncovered another price group bug. There will be a 10.04.02 likely this week, I'd wait until both are out to update.
      Thanks,

Bill has some great points. Could there be some sort of timer/reminder in the admin for these updates? Maybe even a different color for a 90 day window versus a 30 day security update?

As for the two updates almost back to back.Won’t the first one still have to be completed within its own 90 day window? As in you wont be able to run the two at the very last date of the second one?

That would be a nice to have but considering everything we're focusing on, I simple don't see putting valuable dev resources into this.

I'm not suggesting waiting until the last second, 10.04.02 is likely out this week (yes with it's own clock) and my suggestion based specifically on any issues with 10.04.01 which was it uncovered a price group bug, which I have no way of knowing if it would impact Bill, would be to wait for 10.04.02 so if the 10.04.01 bug is impactful, there is a solution for it immediately.

Either way though, these are both VERY MINOR, VERY SAFE updates and there is little to no risk of installing them. Considering the time of year, you could make an argument if you have more sales this Q than the rest of the year, then wait until late December when the holiday rush is over and run them both.
          Thanks,

Agree. I just wanted to make sure it was safe and avoid the possibility of overlooking the non-compliance deadline. A snafu in a small business like ours that is strictly online could not only impact sales, but tie up other resources where people wear multiple hats. Having said that, my other concern is keeping track of the update deadline to avoid non-compliance fine. It would be ideal to know when is the the update deadline, perhaps something as simple as displaying a countdown clock.
