    damn...found it.

never bring a hack to a programming fight.

this was an old hack from a long time ago. in order to list all products, i set g.search to '.' cause every product description as at least a period in it and 99% of the names did as well. we no longer use the miva descriptions...and newer products don't have a period anymore...sigh.

when i get back from the hospitol to repair my head injuries, i'll have to look for the right way to do this.

Thanks. Good call, but not using inventory nor availabilty groups. i'll see if miva support has anything to say.

  • Facet Selection Doesn't Always Show Qualifying Product

    Here goes:

We have a facet search page that first lists ALL products.

There is a group of maybe 10 products that all have a specfic value in a facet called Size.

When ALL products are shown, and you check the Size facet to filter the results, only 2 of those products 10 products are shown (along with about 28 others)

However, if I search for a common term, like "Part of This Products Name" AND then chose that Size facet, the product does appear.

Yes, cache has been cleared many-O-times.
