    Unable to Edit an Order a Day Later

    A customer requested that I change the quantity for their order this morning, but I found myself unable to do so, despite having only sent it to them yesterday afternoon. I was forced to duplicate the order in order to change anything.

    What is the time frame for editing an order, and if this brief window is normal, is there any way to extend it?

    What do you mean, do you mean edit it via the admin as in add something to it? Or change how much you've charged the client?

    There is no set limit on how long to edit an order, you can add and delete items any time. Your ability to charge extra/refund, etc... via the admin will be dependent on how you've setup your payments.

      I apologize for the confusion; earlier I had said "order," but it is specifically a Managed Quote. My bad on the wrong terminology.

      What's specifically happening is we create and email a quote to the customer. Immediately after sending it we are freely able to edit the details; name, quantity, cost, etc. However some hours later I become unable to edit those details at all.

      Reviewing all instances in our records with this occurrence just now, it seems to happen after customers interact with the quote. I recall when I originally tested this feature that I was still able to edit a quote even after it had been added to a customer's shopping cart. I'm not sure what actions render it unable to be edited. I guess I'm just wondering exactly what the statute of limitations is.

          tom.m What is the status of the Quote? There should be a column for Quote Status when viewing the quote from the Manage Quotes batch list.

              Note
              Once the quotes items are in the customer’s cart, they may or may not be able to modify the quantity or remove an items based on the settings you have configured. For additional information on Quote Configuration, click here.
