Text message confirmation

Is it possible to send a text message to confirm your order has been shipped?

Not natively. There has been some discussion about building a module/service to accomplish text messaging for all order fulfillment email types. However, this would have to be a 'service' as the module would be a front end for utilizing one of several SMS messaging services. Because of that, the investment required to pursue this functionality isn't trivial. (The service side component is probably why miva has not implemented this.)

I believe you can do this with Shipstation. It seems like I've set this up before but now says it's in Beta.

We have been working with https://route.com/ to get Miva customers integrated with their software. They are a package insurance and tracking software company so customers can add package insurance to their orders and also get tracking with SMS, email and through their app. The integration costs are being covered and there is no monthly fee as long as you are using the package protection insurance on the site.
