    Generate Coupons not being included in emails

    Not exactly sure when this started but the Generated Coupon code is not being included in the customer email it had been originally installed to generate. The coupons are being generated, they are just no longer being included in the email. The store is using version 1.0001 of the module.

    While trying to figure out when this module stopped including the coupon code in the email, is there any way to "tag" the coupon to an Order Number? Currently, these coupon codes don't show up anywhere except in the Marketing Coupons. Also, what are best practices - should they be set to Current Customer? Hmmmm...could this be the disconnect with the module? The Coupon settings don't have "Current Customer". In the Marketing Coupons, I see a boatload of coupons with the code prefix but they are for "All Shoppers"

    Is there any way to perhaps generate the code on the INVC screen and load it into a custom order field that could be tied to the order? My attempts to do so have failed miserably.

      FYI - the module seems to be "flaky" - one time this will show up in the tokens, then it doesn't
      Code:
      &mvt:generatecoupon:coupon:code;
      and yes I have triple check to make sure the Item generatecoupon is assigned.

      Another note, this was working back around April 2023. Is there a place in the admin that lists when and what updates might have been applied to the site?

        When you have the eligibility set to "Current Customer" it requires the customer to be logged in:

        Current Customer – The customer MUST be logged in at the time the coupon is generated for this to work. It will generate a coupon tied to that specific customer. If this is selected and the customer is not logged in, no coupon will be generated.

        Is it possible some of these customers are not logged in when they are placing the order? If so that is likely why it sometimes works and sometimes does not.

          I just did a check of these coupons - it looks like something else might also be generating coupon codes that start with mcs. Question - could having the same prefix being used in 2 different locations cause a conflict?

          There are a number of mcs coupons that are for "Specific Customers". I'll have to go through a couple of these and try to match up orders but I really have no way to figure them out because the coupon doesn't have any sort of timestamp or order number to tie together. Is there some other way?

          And FWIW, when I was trying to test this the first time I looked at the available tokens for the template
          Code:
          &mvt:generatecoupon:coupon:code;
          appear. When I went back to look at it, it wasn't there.

            Questions - what is the setting "All Logged in Customers" used for? Is there any way to determine when these coupons were generated?
