Customer Payments

Currently I do not see a way to request a payment from a customer. The method right now is for them to add a payment method to their wallet. Then authorize that payment on an order. I would like for the customer to add a payment from their order history. Many times we shop as a customer and create an order, than need payment. Does anyone know if you can add a make payment button to the order history list next to the view button??

Normally the way that's done is using the built in Manage Quotes feature. You build a quote, trigger an email and then they click and pay.

Don't know if its still available, but with some re-labeling, some people have used the "Donate" module to do this. Rick is of course correct, that they quote system is suited to this, but it could be overkill. The downside of the Donate module is that you can't enforce the amount. We have a sort of 'quick quote' module, where you create an order in the admin (can just have an 'amount') and the customer gets an email with a link. Click the link, enter payment and bob's your uncle. No idea of the cost, thinking it might take 200/300 after customizations and all of that.
