    MIVAPay Checkout

    We are relatively new using MIVAPay checkout.
    We have had several call and emails - and noticed when placing test orders….

    When a shipping option is picked and we click ‘CONTINUE TO PAYMENT’ it goes to the Payment Information page but takes about 5 seconds for the information boxes to load.
    Then, when information is entered and we click ‘COMPLETE ORDER’ it takes 13 seconds to get the Confirmation. There is no hour glass / spinning circle or anything to indicate that the order is being processed. 13 seconds is a long time. People click the ‘COMPLETE ORDER’ several times or just assume the order…..

    Is this normal. Can an hour glass or something else be added to indicate something is happening?

    That is not normal, unless a payment gateway is involved that is itself having such a delay. Our support team should be able to troubleshoot that delay. Typically a delay of that nature, at that point in checkout, would be due to some off-site integration, like shipping, email sending, etc. For example, stores using Microsoft 365 as their transactional outbound email server will always have a checkout delay of 8+ seconds because Microsoft adds such a delay intentionally to discourage using their service in that manner. Stores which send order notifications at checkout, through Microsoft, can potentially have 8+8 seconds to send the customer and merchant notifications.
