    Gtm

Is thee a new set of instructions for a shadows 10.08 store to get tag manager set up start to finish with the Google setup instructions?
Other than the obvious change to the GTM-Data Layer updating the GTM-XXXXX which I have done but...

I set this up with Colossus following the instructions and everything worked great until switching to the new Shadows framework.

Hi Mark, I hate to ask the Capt. Obvious question(s) - did you do the same setup for the new Shadows framework? Now, something not quite as obvious, make sure you have the most current version of the GTM-Data Layer - Version: 1.1.0. Then a point of clarification - you are editing the GTM-XXXXX in the GTM-head-tag file?

Can you describe what isn't working great now? I ask because there have been issues with Google Ads that have required hours of conversations with various Google techs to configure.

I edited the gtm head tag with the same number/container that I had previously used and assumed that the "set up" for the tag in google would be the same. I too lost conversions going to adwords which in turned ended up with me working with "google" to hack fix over to phone calls which equaled around 2 1/2 hours. They ultimately did a work around script for adwords alone targeting just our order number and order total for my INVC page.

Yeah, didn't you just love that "your hour is up, please reschedule more time" - so nice to leave it unfinished...and yes, it's been just for those two things and each call GoogleMeet I'm on the tech does it differently - ARGGHHH...

Did you make sure you are using Version: 1.1.0. for the GTM-Data Layer? I knew that it had been updated once since it was released but I missed what looks to be 8 more updates to the file.

Still looking for help here because the work around google tried isn't actually working.

With the new way shadows is working what are the instructions for a brand new store to use when setting up a brand new google tag?
I'm happy to create a new container and start over with the implementation. Is there a welcome to Miva packet maybe? I need to start from scratch somehow.

Mark - go here https://docs.miva.com/miva10/referen...le-analytics-4 - these are probably some of the best-written docs I have found. I do need to go back through them to see if any mention has been made regarding Google Ads implementation. That is where things have gotten dicey for me and I've had 5 different Google Meets with 5 different configurations. The last one was the fastest and easiest. I need to go back through it and see if I can document it. It seems that each one of these Google techs has a different way of adding the tags to the GTM.

                  Hey Mark,

I took a quick look and the problem may be a localStorage issue.

I added a hat to your basket and then looked at the source code. The item should normally be pushed to the dataLayer ecommerce space but yours is entered to the dataLayer global space.

I looked further and noticed that there is a function saveCurrentItems in the PromotionsTracker class that is suppose to write the items to the dataLayer ecommerce space. The class is suppose to read/write from localStorage but it does not appear to be working on my side. There is an exception handler to this event from the init function but I don't know how it handles if the localStorage returns false.

I am wondering if this is a localStorage permission issue which is treated like cookies. Does termly allow you to write to localStorage?

                  Hope that helps.
