Collections and Price Group Shipping Discounts

Has anyone encountered issues with using a Collections when trying to set up a Shipping Discount (Discounted Products Only) Price Group? The store owner and I both tried to use a Collection of products with the Price Group configuration. A Collection was created with over 400 products (and assigned to a category). Then the Collection was selected and assigned to the Price Group's Discounted Collections. The Price Group required a minimum of $200 worth of these products to be ordered before the free shipping kicked in. Both the store owner and I tested and retested the configuration. It would not give the free shipping. We removed the Collection assignment and manually assigned the Discounted Products - everything worked as expected. Not sure what happened but it was a bit frustrating.

lesliekirk I was able to setup the same scenario on my dev store and it worked correctly. Can you submit a ticket and include screenshots of the price group settings and the collection being assigned as the Discounted Collection and Qualifying Collection.

Hi Nick, we've had to clear everything out so the offer could go live. FYI, there are no products assigned to Qualifying Products and it appears to be working correctly. The products are only assigned to Discounted. I think we did try assigning the Collection to the Qualifying Collection and still had issues. Let me see if the store has a dev site and if the store owner has time to set up the products there.

In order to do this you would need to add 200 to the Qualifying Subtotal value within the price group. If there is a value in the Qualifying Subtotal setting then you need to assign the qualifying products for the price group to work correctly.

That seems to be the problem - figuring out which one to assign these to. The store has a similar price Group set up that seems to work just like the store owner needs it to but the products are not assigned to the Qualifying Products, they are just assigned to the Discounted Products and has the "Restrict to Basket Subtotal:" set to the amount required.

Something tells me that the Video "Free Shipping On Select Products" isn't up to date?

So which do these product need to be assigned to "Qualifying Products" or "Discounted Products" or both?

Does the Basket/Qualifying Restrictions need to "Restrict to Qualifying Subtotal:" or "Restrict to Basket Subtotal:"

I did open a ticket because it seems that only a partial discount is being given which we thought was odd.
