    Selling Audio Files

I have a store owner who would like to sell audio files. I have sent her all the Miva docs on selling digital files. I have strongly recommended that she use a CDN. I discovered (by reading the docs) that Amazon is the only service that can be used. Why not Cloudflare since it's already tied into Miva to help prevent bots?

My real question is, is anyone else selling audio files? If so, do you have any tips and/or suggestions I can pass along to her?

It looks like about 5% of our customers are actively selling Digital Downloads, not sure if anyone will chime in. I don't think we've seen enough demand to add an additional provider beyond us and AWS.

We sell a lot of digital downloads. They are PDFs though and not audio files. We use AWS and the system works great and AWS storage is cheap. Only issues we run into are customers that aren't tech savvy. They download the file several times but don't know where it goes.

If your customer is selling music, another option would be to use Bandcamp. It's easy to embed a bandcamp player in your webpage. However, customers do have to click through and purchase through bandcamp website.

Thanks Matt! I will pass that along to her. The files will be spoken word type files. Would you happen to have a simple how-to for what you did? My storeowner said she went to look at Amazon and was completely lost.

You're mixing two separate topics. The download integration is to allow the bulk storage of large download files at AWS, so you are not paying our storage rates. Cloudflare should be in front of every site regardless of the type of business, and we both include and manage it for free. A site can be on Cloudflare, while still using our digital downloads module with storage of those files at AWS.

Oh boy... I set up storage with AWS years ago and rarely go in there so I probably can't be of much help. But I can tell you that I used the S3 storage in AWS. Here's a tutorial I found online - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3...tedWithS3.html

If she doesn't have that many files, probably easier to link to files stored with Miva. As David, said, main reason to use AWS is for very cheap storage.
