Restrict Orders from Specific Countries

Sorry if this topic has been beaten to death, but most of the posts I'm seeing are about limiting methods and setting up shipping rules.

My question is, can I prevent orders from specific countries by using the Countries list under Edit Store > Countries to deselect unwanted countries? Will deselecting countries in that list completely remove them from the dropdown options where shoppers select their country for billing and shipping?

Hello,

Yes, that will do it. If you unassign countries in Settings -> Store Settings -> Countries, those countries will no longer appear in the Country drop down at checkout. Shoppers will not be able to select them for either billing or shipping at checkout.
