Points module features and Paypal

In todays online shopping environment, a solid loyalty rewards program is a must.
Our native MIva points module works but is so lacking on many levels.
For instance, there is no easy way, not without hiring a costly coder/designer, to provide up-to-date info on product pages. As in, buy this item at X price, you make x dollars in rewards.

Then there is the paypal checkout issue.
Paypal has been tightly integrated in Miva and it works so well for customers to quickly make a purchase in a few clicks. But this bypasses the checkout system and therefore also the point rewards.
So depending on how a customer checks out, they may or may not have points added.

Hey Pat, The first use case is handled by the points functions built into the module for maximum flexibility. It should only take a hour for someone to add the code the the product pages. But I can bring this up to our team and see if we can add it into the Page Builder component for Product Page to make it more point and click.

As for PayPal checkout, customers should still accrue points for purchases, they just can't redeem them. Is that what your seeing?

Brennan Page Builder functions would be great. One of the things we have been trying to do, with Leslie's help, is to show the dollar amount a product would make.
You get 200 points does not sound the same as you get $20 bucks. It does not seem that simple to do.

Yes, Paypal checkout does seem to mess with points not being added. I already took the paypal buttons off PROD, since that bypassed checkout and this was confirmed by tech support.
