Multi-Domain Additional Store without a domain name

Can a Multi-Domain Additional Store be temporarily configured without a domain name? Can it be changed at a later date?

Two things. I was 99.999% sure the answer was yes, but I asked the AI Bot in the lower right corner of the Forums and it gave me the details:

"Yes, a Multi-Domain Additional Store can be configured without a domain name initially, and it can be changed at a later date. When setting up a new domain in the Miva Admin, you can assign a simple Name and Code to the store, which are used as visual references throughout the admin. The HTTP Host field, where you enter your new domain, can be updated later. However, if you change this setting, you will also need to manually adjust the auto-generated fields in the Advanced Settings"

Thanks Rick Wilson - I wanted to check before I asked Support to create a copy of the live site to use for the Additional Store.

I should have asked the bot if an Additional Store can be created from a copy of the live site. Bots may be good, but I still like the human interaction. Thanks, Laura, for answering the question I forgot to ask up front.
