    Out of Nowhere this happens

    Hello,

I am running Miva 4.22 with OUT OpenUI in the store. I had a system in place for our customer service reps to batch all the orders and then use the standard batch report to print all the pages/orders in that batch.

It was set or usually ran, one order per page but something is now messed up and it is just printing continuously.

I have not changed the browser, they are doing the same thing they have been doing for the past 4yrs so I don't know what else might have changed.

I went back a few batches in my store that were made and it does the same for all previous batches.

The printer settings did not seem to tell me anything either.

Any thoughts or advice on this would be great.

    Paul

Re: Out of Nowhere this happens

Page breaks in batches where accomplished by using a specific HTML tag bound to CSS Print rules. If you have Merchant without OpenUI, you would have had to have that tag added via a Batch module, so first make sure that module is still in place and you are not just running the standard batch report (you may have a modified standard report--FTP to your /html/merchant/4.22/modules/batch directory and see if the date of the batch report module is recent...it should not be.

Slightly different topic, but if you have 4.x without OUI, you should strongly consider migrating to 5.5. The license for the upgrade is free as long as your 4.x license is eligible for updates and the benefits of 5.5 are many.

Thanks Rick for the advice, I am working on that...

        Bruce,

The module in that batch has not changed since 2005 when installed.

        Any other ideas on this?

You weren't using a different batch report module, e.g. EZ Batch or UltraBatch, were you?

If I remember correctly, if you are using the standard batch report or the OUI batch report in Merchant 4, it does NOT by default insert page breaks between orders.

I have the Batch Page Break module installed by emporiumplus.com Check to see if you had that module installed and activated.

That batch page break module was part of the addendum module's files.

Does that module work without OpenUI?

No. But then the addendum module (which it is used with) uses the openui.

                      One other thing...

Do you have any of the Santa Fe Mall modules installed?

For some reason, I think that there was a place in one of the "Wizard Pro" modules that had a setting for page breaks in the batches, but I can't for the life of me find it.

I couldn't find anything in the OUI settings that would set up page breaks either...

well this is embarrassing... in speaking with the rep who does this everyday, she informed me that she does not print them as all one batch with them seperated but one at a time.

uhg.... sorry guys to make you all jump though hoops on this one.
