    Customer Login Set up

I have lost my "MIVA Tech" and am trying to figure out my customer log in set up. I have customer log in set up in one of my stores and I'm trying to get it set up in another store but can't seam to figure out how to "activate" it. I have a module but does it work in more then one store? If it works in more then one store how do I activate it? Thanks for any insight. Bridgett

Most third party modules are licensed per store, which means that you can't activate it in another store. The only exception to that, are modules from EmporiumPlus which are licensed by the domain name. Can you provide the exact name of the module? That might help to determine who the vendor is.

      Re: Customer Login Set up

Thanks for your reply. One of my problems is figuring out what modules I do have. The only one I find listed that seems possible to be the customer login is one called e-Urchin Log. This shows that it can be used in 3 stores. I am thinking that since I need to get up to speed on this I may just be better off starting fresh with a new module and learning how to set it up. I am using version 4 and have 6 stores I would like to have customer login in, a minimum of 3 stores. What would you suggest? thanks for your help.

The e-Urchin Log is a stats logging module. I'm trying to understand what you are needing to do - do you need your customers to login to the store before they can view anything? What is the specific reason to login, that might help to determine what you need.

          Re: Customer Login Set up

I want returing customers to be able to login easly and not have to re-enter their (non secure) customer information, address information before proceeding to check out. Here is a link to one of my web sites that the customer login is set up, maybe you will reconize it. https://anyflag.hostasaurus.com/Merc...&Store_Code=DF

          Thank you, Bridgett

            Hi Bridget,

I think I know understand what you are needing. You want to add the link so that people can create a customer account.

This is the secure URL to the Create Account screen.

            https://anyflag.hostasaurus.com/Merc...&Store_Code=DF

The link you sent is for the login screen - it has the link to create an account or proceed to checkout without an account. I would suggest that you still keep the option to checkout without creating an account.

As for how to add that link, try looking in the Global Header for HTML code that might have the other links in it. You could add the link there. It looks like one of the other stores has it in the category screen header (maybe). Without seeing the actual setup I'm just guessing.

Shoot me an email if you'd like to find another "MIVA Tech"
