    Blank basket DB files...

    baskchrg.dbf, baskets.dbf, basklist.dbf, basklist.dbt, basklupd.dbf and baskopts.dbf

Anyone have some they can send to me?

    daryl at jcroffroad d0t com

I never new I had to pack the basket files... lets say 5+ years of entries makes unmanageable files. (500mb basklist.dbf whoops)

I've got them cleaned up... but one file is probably missing some character that seems to break my cart screens.

    Thanks.

Your host should be able to supply you with empty ones.

      monkeyevil,

You need to make sure the blank basket files match the version of software you're running. Please make sure to put the store in maintenance mode when your host replaces these files. You will also want to make sure you can pack both data files successfully before taking the store out of maintenance mode.

Contact our support team if you run into any issues.

      Thank you,

        Re: Blank basket DB files...

Someone was kind enough to send me the files. If I upload all the blank files I get a database error when trying to pack the basket database.

If I replace baskets.dbf with the original uncleaned copy from this morning I can do a one click cleanup with no errors. Upon reopening the store I will get a database error when I try to view the cart.

If I then upload baskchrg.dbf from this morning. I can complete the checkout process with no errors.

        So to review.

I can replace all files with clean copies without errors execpt:
        baskchrg.dbf
        baskets.dbf

Replacing those two files with either clean copies given to me OR copies cleaned by using DBF Viewer or Notepad++ results in errors.

I normally wouldn't care, but baskchrg.dbf has 17,000 lines and baskets.dbf has 31,000. Id like those clean.

That happens even with the fresh copies? Typically we see that error if one of the files was edited with something that doesn't fully understand dbf files and corrupts it in some way.

Store works fine. One click cleanup appears to work fine, but I don't know how to test if it's clearing files or not.

What is One Click Cleanup? Is it a feature of some module? Can you use the built in PACK? Do you know if the basket file you have came from a v4.24 store?

I save the copies from my e-mail to a folder, then upload them straight to the server and that happens.

I can replace every file over and over, as long as I leave those two files. Or re-upload my backups from this morning.

                        It's very weird.

Oh, yes dont do the one click after uploading the blank copies, do a regular miva merchant store -> utilities -> pack store databases. that should fix it.

Sorry for the confusion. I built this site many years ago, and have forgotten more than I remember about what is Miva and what is OpenUI *lol*
