So Mike, have you been able to get the modules updated for MM5.5? That would be huge.

Hi Bill - Thanks for the reminder... I have already converted 1 client and this one is next. It was an urgent request they had to make a change needing these modules, ahead of when we do the change.

This of course brings up a philosophical conversation about legacy versions of software and their support... something best done over beers than in a forum, though the forum is the next best thin...

Darn, I kept meaning to take all the Truxoft product down from Viking, and I noticed your order today but haven't had a chance to contact you. I haven't heard from Ivo in a long while. That's an MM4 hold-over that actually shouldn't be for sale on our site, and we'll probably have to refund it.

Sorry about the confusion and slowness - I've been out of the office sick for 4 days.

    Best,

Ironic side note, I was watching a program on TV late night about a cruise ship - the head chef's name was Ivo.

I miss Ivo, he is very insightful, and talented MIVA Merchant developer. In my opinion, his modules without question raised the bar by which all other modules should be measured against today.

    Exceptionally:
    • Innovative
    • Rock Solid Performance
    • Robust in features
    • Well documented
    • Well designed user interface
    • Intuitive
    • User friendly
    • Well supported
    • Change management Log
    • Update notification
    • Update stream download
    • Trail version, etc...

His modules at the time were well ahead of its time even by today's standard. I suspect that the level of detail, and perfection in his modules did not yield an adequate ROI.

It is most unfortunate he is no longer active in this community.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather James. Yeah Ivo had reportedly surfaced quite a while back - it may have been Andreas who mentioned he might even be updating these modules to MM5.5. I know I had a couple people who were actually waiting on him to do so. It's so very disappointing.

Maybe you can come up with something even better for MM5.5 ;) Hope you're feeling better.

    Hello:

Today I bought a license for mmHTML and MMHTMLc bundled from Viking Coders. When I attempted to install the license key, I was told I needed to split the license key and was sent to the following URL:

    http://www.mivacentral.com/truxoft/licenses.mv

I entered the license key and it asked for an email address - I used the one I used for the order and it wouldn't accept it but I was able to use the one for [email protected], but presumably it sent them the email. I have attempted to contact Viking Coders before, but they have never responded to my email, nor did they this one.

I believe this URL is hosted by Miva Merchant - who can I contact to get my license keys? I tried to send a message at the Truxoft Web site, but when I submitted the form I got an error and there is no email address on the site.

I know, I need to upgrade this site to 5.5, but this was an urgent request from my client.

Thanks in advance for any help with this!
