Hosting Company Recommendation

Hi all -

My store has been live on Miva 4 for a good 8 years now. The problem is my hosting company has raised prices twice in the past couple of years and I would like to see if there are any others who might offer a better deal. I would prefer not want to mention the name of my current hosting company because I don't want to spread any bad vibes about them, as they have done a good job. My only beef is with the price increases.

I also would prefer not to upgrade to Miva 5. I realize upgrading is the "right thing" to do, but we are a small business and I simply don't have the time to dedicate to any kind of software conversions. I know software companies iive and die by their customers having to upgrade all the time, but I just can't afford to get into a project that will suck all of my time. People buy stuff from our store now on version 4.

Any recommendations on hosting companies that don't scoff at Miva 4 would be appreciated.

I can understand and appreciate, the "if it ain't broke" desire. And I'm sure you're looking at upgrading down the road because you already know that MM4 is at it's end of life - yada yada yada. With that said, the cost to host a Miva Merchant site has gone up for ever host. Perhaps after you shop around you might find that if your only beef with your has been the price increase. It might be worth staying with them in the long run. Another thought - have you asked them about the price increases? Maybe they can work something out with you.
