Can't login to Miva Admin area

we installed Miva Merchant v4.16 two years ago and since then our client didn't have any problem, until last week. Using the same username and password, our client can't login to Miva Admin area. The login fields emptied out and taken back to the login screen again. No error messages or any lead to troubleshoot the problem. Does any body have any idea how to solve this problem?

Sounds like someone changed the underlying server settings...I'd start with the host. For example, if its a shared SSL through a redirect, they could have changed the SSL path...do you always log in securely or un-securely...if always one way, try another...but these things are best worked out with your host since everyone would be guessing without direct access to your server and Admin URL/Password.

We didn't change the settings of our servers. The odd thing is that we have a good number of clients using Miva Merchant without any problem, but this client. I spent countless number of hours trying to figure out this problem, but in vain. Does Miva cache any files on the server? If yes, where/what directory?

Ok, I didn't see that you where the host...Miva nor Merchant having any caching abililty on their own.

If you are sure nothing on the server has changed, and the OWNER has not changed domain settings, then you could be looking at corrupt database files.

But, its more likely something like someone with admin access changing the passwords or domain settings.

You can look directly at the Domain.dbf database file and check domain settings...you can also copy over users.dbf and usrxstor.dbf files from a site where you know the login name and passwords and use those to get in. And of course changed them later...you will might need to change the usrxstor.dbf file to match the problem site...
