Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
Are you exporting with the | character as the delimiter? That should allow you to export without breaks in the description. Then you can easily import that file into Excel.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
I thought that one had an option for different formats. If not, you might need one that exports with | as the delimiter then.

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
I have been using Ultimate Feed Generator from Netblazon for several months (at least) I have found it easy to use, well documented, and flexible.
I do several different feeds with it, and so far, it has done ALMOST everything I wanted. Netblazon has also had good support.

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
You can open any exported file in excel, you just have to be a little more careful. First open excel. Then go to File>Open. Change the File Type to all files. Browse for your exported file and click to open. You will be able to choose the delimiter in excel (tab, comma, |, etc.) Now the next part is choose the data type for the columns. This should allow you to open any exported files in excel. Let me know if you have any troubles.
The key is to open excel first and then open the file in excel. It will give you the option to chose the tab delimiter.Last edited by klassic; 06-16-08, 04:19 AM.Unemployed

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
The tab delimiter is the problem. Apparently they have tabs in their descriptions. Hence the need to change delimiters to something like the | character.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
Thought far too much for just getting a file to open in Excel, our StoreMan content management system can export directly to Excel...better yet, in can import directly from Excel too!Bruce Golub

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
Check out the information on the web site: StoreMan. Price mostly depends on whether you need attributes/options import/export (Advanced) and whether you need to manage multiple stores (Professional). You might consider having Professional around so you could assist others with their sites.Bruce Golub

Re: Looking for module to export products to excel
You could probably copy the .dbf directly, open it in access, and then export from access to excel.Roger Romer
