Order Fulfillment Configuration Emails not being sent

    Hello,

I am having problems having the Customer Order Confirmation Emails being sent. For some reason, the email works fine if the user has a gmail email account, otherwise it gets an error. I have included a log to a couple of them. (Note: removed actual email address used)

    Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Order Fulfillment Configuration Emails not being sent

Valueweb's mail server is generating an invalid greeting when talking to remove mail servers, it's sending "HELO 216.219.254.242" to the remote mail servers to start the SMTP dialog which is not valid, after the HELO should be a name, such as "HELO mivahost.valueweb.net" in this case since that is the real name of the server. Not all mail servers are as strict about enforcing this, gmail's must not be while some others are.

I have an idea- get a better host if Valueweb does not offer adequate (or fast) support.

Thanks for the information. That is helpful.

It wasn't clear to me if it was a bug within Miva, or elsewhere.

I will check with my hosting provider to try to resolve the problem. Is there anything else that can be done?

        Thanks again.

The issue is on the mail server doing the deliveries, nothing you can control.
