delete attribute templates (when assigned to products)

Hi all. Is it possible to delete an attribute when it's assigned to products?

If so, how can this be done? Can this be done with an module?

Currently this can't be done with miva 4.24 because it is says that is assigned to multiple products.

We're talking *thousands* of products that need to be updated, so it would be quite time consuming to edit each individual product.

No. The template must be unassigned from any products first, then it can be deleted.

Thank you Vic. That was my fear.

Does anybody know if Phosphor Media's Store Man would be able to do the trick (of removing attributes on thousands of products)?

We've been looking at this as a possibility for other things, but am not quite sure if it could do this.

Any help is appreciated.
