Affiliates not working properly

Hi all

I'm trying to use the affiliate function to track orders resulting from adwords clicks but when i try a fake order using the tracking url: http://www.wellcoolstuff.com/Merchan...&affiliate=WCS

Nothing changes in the miva affiliate management section. ie the hits counter doesn't increase and the sale is not recognised by the system.

Anyone know why this is happening?
