Hi there- I accidentally deleted an entire product when I was trying to update its attributes. Is there a way to go back and restore the product to what it was earlier today?

Not easily, if no other changes have been made to the store database today, just have your host restore the whole thing to last night. The reason restoring just one product gets messy is because when you delete a product a LOT of other database tables are also modified typically, such as inventory, price groups, availability groups, category to product membership, possibly third party modules, etc. and trying to figure out what all changed and get them all back may not have the correct end result. -

Thanks David- our site is hosted by hostasaurus and we did make some changes last night that I want to make sure don't have to be re-done, do you think hostasaurus can just change things back to say midnight last night? would that work?Comment

Send an email to our support address with the domain and the time of the changes you don't want to lose and we can compare that to the time the nightly backup ran to let you know if restoring would preserve those or lose them, then you can decide which way you want to go.Comment
