I completely understand that and the CSSUI does indead have them linked into the global footer.

The issue only arrises if a store converts to wombat and the pages are index in search engines using another page/screen code. The simplest solution would be to just change the page code and update the link, but we are prevented from doing that.

As Rick said, just create a new page with the code you want. Why screw up the 99% others who are going to use ABUS and make them change links in the footer? Duplicating the page for your specific scenario is all of 15 seconds. For a newbie to find where to create or change links in the footer is a bit more involved.

I already said that in the very first post.

Am I speaking Greek. I didn't ask them to change the page code, or the footers, or the templates.

I'm asking that it be possible to edit non-critical page codes and that's all I'm asking.

If I create a new page, I will have to change the the footer links anyway so I don't see your point. How that would affect newbies, I can't imagine; And since their is no clone feaure yet, you have to copy the page, copy the headers and footers, and re-assign any missing page items and third party modules.

The issue is simple; maintaining Search Engines placement when upgrading a site. The solution is simple. Allow me to change ABUS to about, the job is done and and no cut and past and 301 redirects required.

        .

So cloning multiple pages (I do beleive I said that in the original post) is simpler than editing a few links in the global footer. Obviously you don't build websites.

Sorry, about the tone here, but I can see no downside to making those codes editible. I was just asking MM to consider it. Perhaps the dream feature forum would have been the pace to post this.

The problem with making our standard pages editable is it breaks our upgrade path.

              Re: "Capturing" funds -- PR7

Q1: We use PayPal, Google and Amazon as our payment processors. With PayPal when we click "capture", the total amount is captured, no problem. With Google, it will NOT capture, even though the product was shipped. Why not? I haven't tried Amazon yet.

Q2: If the customer checked out with either Google or Amazon, will a change of status (in Wombat) from pending to processing and to shipping automatically trigger the parallel actions in Google and Amazon? Or, does the merchant have to repeat these actions in Google and Amazon MAUALLY?

                  Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

Good morning all, We have just recently migrated to a new VPS server and then upgraded to wombat PR7. Everything went well and as planned except for one issue. Somewhere between OCST, Authorize.net, and INVC we are timing out. The orders get to Auth.net they also get recorded in Miva, but the customer does not see the INVC screen, just a timeout message. I have stripped all of the unnecessary scripts from the invoice page (analytics, surveys, etc.) but that has not helped. Has anyone had this happen and/or have a solution?

                  Thanks,
                  Michael

                    Hi Michael,

We've been hearing from merchants over this past week that Authnet has had intermittent timeout issues. Is this happening consistently with every order, or is it intermittent?

We had copied our entire site to a new VPS server and upgraded that to PR7 (and left a PR6 version running - just in case) The timeout happens on every order in our PR7 Store. We have 0 issues with our PR6 Store. The PR7 store has been taken offline for the time being until we fix this issue) We have pointed our DNS back to our PR6 server for now.

We use PayPal, Google and Amazon as our payment processors. Before Wombat, all 3 checkout methods worked fine. After Wombat, Amazon checkout no longer works.

Get error message at the Amazon site after I click on "use this shipping address": "We're sorry, but we're currently having problems retrieving order details from the merchant, and cannot process your order. Please return to the merchant's website and try placing your order again." Tried it several times to no avail.

I know you said it worked pre PR7 but can you double check the configuration in your module and compare it to the info at Amazon's Seller Central. That error typically means that the configuration is not correct.

I am getting an error message in the Manage Orders tab. It is as follows:

Miva Mercahnt returned an invalid response. Function: OrderPaymentFieldList_Load Response: Runtime error in 5.00/json.mvc @ [0000003f:0000014a]:json/payments.mv: Line 82: MvDO: Unable to find function 'Decrypt_OrderPayment'

                              Any clue what to do?

Also, is there documentation for the Manage Orders/Shipments and Inventory? I watched some of the videos but still feel like I don't have all the pieces to this new puzzle.

                              Thanks!

You're not completely up to date yet. I have a ticket with you about the update failing and I should have this fixed shortly.
