Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
Hi, I updated but all messed up. On the control panel, left navigation Bar is blue and the all list is blue color also. When I go to product page and clicked "edit" and clicked attribute, my store page showed up. I can't see any the normal attribute page. Also, when I tried to do some function, let say , go to each pages , I can see the all line, box anything and can't edit anything. How can I take out this production 7? Now I can't edit any functionm any page. Really panic.
Thank you.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
I had a minor issue during upgrade due to having a storemorph page template with the code "FAQs". However I just renamed the page, continued the upgrade, then switched the name back to FAQs once the upgrade was complete. Doesn't seem to cause any issue after upgradeMike Bader

mbader,
I suspect your credentials didn't change but due to PCI and PA-DSS we can no longer allow you to use autocomplete to save your password. Therefore you need to manually enter your password every time you login to your store.Last edited by Rick Wilson; 05-11-10, 06:27 AM.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
Wayne,
My web Server submitted ticket but no response from MIVA so far. Can I escalate it myself? I got the ticket No. from my server.
When I clicked the PRODUCT section and click Attribute, my site's top page showed up. When I click Inventory, the same thing happened. Also, the PAGE site, when I clicked any button, my site's top page was showed up and I can't edit PRODUCT, PAGE anything. It worked very well before updating to the Wombat. So, I really don't know what's wrong. Thank you.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
So far we have 3 reports of people who's Admin side looks weird post update. Right now all 3 have the same host and the cause of the weird look and feel appears to be a setting on the server side which prevents the Admin CSS file from loading properly in Secure mode.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
We have a number of stores with various 3rd party modules installed from a number of vendors.
Does the validation step in the wombat install check all 3rd party modules so we can be assured that everything installed will work?
If not is there a list of modules that are checked so that we can manually check those not covered to make sure they are compatible.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
The validation step checks all third party modules against a list of known issues, right now there are 27 known issues and more than half of those are warnings (you need to update ToolKit to use Inventory at The Attribute level for example) and the remainder are Failures, which prevents your store from upgrading until after you've updated the modules.
The only way one would slip through is if either the module developer didn't test it beforehand and therefore didn't add it to the list of known issues, or if it's highly rare or custom module that we couldn't forsee to test.
At this point we should get close to 1,000 upgrades within 48 hours of launch, which is a very high number of test cases. The Upgrade Warning system seems to be working very well.
If you do get any warnings, make sure you click on the Magnifying glass to the right to see the longer detailed message.

Is that host by any chance Westhost? I use Westhost and I have the same problem. Admin interfact is all screwed up; weird colors, odd spacing, incorrect fonts, etc. Also, cannot access many controls now in Admin; tells me I don't have permission to access /mm5/...
I have submitted a support ticket through WestHost, however they suggested that I also escalate the issue through MIVA, so I am about to do that also.

Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues
I have updated the modules required by the Upgrade Advisor.
When I re-run the upgrade wizard, I get the following message
Incomplete installation of patch 'production-7' detected
which option should I select to re-check, I do not want to start the full installation yet.
1. Resume Installation (recomended) or
2. Restart Failed Installation or
3. Discard Failed Installation or
4. Submit a Ticket to Miva Merchant Support
Just to be clear, I do not want to install wombat yet, I just want to check that all the warnings have been cleared.

*****EDIT*****
Do NOT use the Discard Failed Installation and then start over.
That has caused a few problems today that I didn't fully understand.
Instead use:
Resume Failed Installation.Last edited by Rick Wilson; 05-11-10, 05:48 PM.
