I have a few products listed for pre-order on our site, and I allow backorders. I track inventory, track low stock at 0, and don't track out of stock. I don't use any inventory modules. I keep track of inventory locally in Stone Edge order management software, which lists these products as 0 inventory, and uploads any changes automatically (there haven't been any changes). But the website keeps increasing stock on these items (usually to 3 copies) and showing the In Stock message. I have changed the In Stock message to a not in stock message, but I would like to know what's happening, in case it is affecting my other inventory and I don't know it.
Is there a log file I can check to see when and how the inventory is being changed? I don't have another item with the same SKU to confuse Miva. Might this have anything to do with the new SKU option? I list all products with our local SKU as the Miva Product Code. As the SKU option became available on Miva, I have been adding new items with the Sku as both SKU and Product Code. Could this be causing a problem? And if that's not it, what could it be?
