    Attribute Variants with Attribute Template

A gift wrap option is added to some products on the product page via the Attribute Template. Works fine - basket shows the option and added cost.

Problem is with products that use Attribute Variants. Basket still displays " Gift Wrap" , but no cost is added.

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks, Diana

      Hello,

For example I went to this product: Birdbath Tropical Green Leaf noticed it was $32.99 with a $6.00 gift wrap option. I added then went to your basket page:

      http://agardenplace.com/miva/merchan...K&Store_Code=G

screen shot of the basket page:

and it shows the giftwrap and the total is now $38.99, so it is showing the total cost. Do you have an example of what your talking about.

Thank you for taking the time to check this out.

The product you viewed works correctly because it is not using the inventory variants.

Here is an example of a product that is using inventory variants.
You will see the same $6 gift wrap option, but the price is not added to the basket.

          Hello,

I saw on that specific product you sent how it doesn't add the $6 charge for the gift wrap to the basket. Without knowing how you have it setup on your site I am shooting in the dark. I created you a temporary user that I will keep active for a couple days on my demo site. This product that I setup has inventory variants attached to it and I added an optional $6 gift wrap just like your site and it adds that value to the basket. Below are the log in credentials and the product to edit. If after viewing my demo store, you still don't get it figured out on your store, we can dive in and take a look we would just need your domain on support with us.

          Demo Site:

          URL: http://rafael.coolcommerce.net/mm5/admin.mvc?
          user: dianagarden
          pass: qwerty789

Log in and click on Products, and edit this product:

          Product Code: Bandit

Take a look and tell me if this is how you have yours setup. You are also more than welcome to create a product and set it up how you have yours set up and see if it behaves in my demo site like it does on your live site. If so, then please provide steps on how you setup the variants and such. What options did you choose for this part when auto generating variants:

Pricing may be controlled at the variant level. You may specify a default pricing option now. If you wish to assign a specific price to one or more variants, you may do so after generation.

Variant Price is set by the Master Product and its Attributes
Variant Price is set by the Inventory Product

Thanks for letting me view your setup. I think I figured it out. It only works when variants use Price set by Master Product. But, if I select that for options that have differing prices, then the dynamic prices doesn't work.

No problem. If you need to look at it again let me know and I will create you another user. For now I deleted that temp account.
