    32-Bit OpenSSL Library Files Needed?

OpenSSL is installed and running on my 64-bit Linux (REDHAT Enterprise 4 x86_64) server. But when I run the License Manager Call via diag6.mvc, I get this error:

Fail https://licensing.smallbusiness.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv -> Unable to open URL 'https://licensing.smallbusiness.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv': Unable to load '/lib64/libssl.so': /lib64/libssl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
https://licensing2.smallbusiness.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv -> Unable to open URL 'https://licensing2.smallbusiness.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv': Unable to load '/lib64/libssl.so': /lib64/libssl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
https://licensemgr.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv -> Unable to open URL 'https://licensemgr.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv': Unable to load '/lib64/libssl.so': /lib64/libssl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    http://licensemgr.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv
    http://licensemgr2.miva.com/gateway/gateway.mv

And when trying to install Miva Merchant 5.5, I get this error immediately after entering the license number and clicking Next:

Unable to open URL 'https://licensemgr.thelicensemanager.com/gateway/gateway.mv': Unable to load '/lib64/libssl.so': /lib64/libssl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Does Miva Merchant have a problem with 64-bit OpenSSL libraries? Does anyone have any experience with this? Or do I really need to install the 32-bit OpenSSL library files?

You need to install the 32bit compatible libraries. Miva Merchant Empresa is not yet 64 bit compatible.

Re: 32-Bit OpenSSL Library Files Needed?

Thanks for confirming that, Jim. So it sounds like I need to create, install, and link the 32-bit OpenSSL library files, but I don’t necessarily need to compile Apache or PHP to run with 32-bit OpenSSL, right? Are there any generic 32-bit OpenSSL files available? Or do I need to create the for my particular server?

Redhat should already have 32bit compatible libraries. You should not have to compile them yourself.
