Does anyone know of a good and easy to use module that allows a small popup window to appear in Miva? We are trying to minimize the shopping cart abandonment during purchases. We have also looked into the Runa module.

Just my two cents, but I recommend reconsidering anything that interrupts the checkout process, especially with popups. While I cannot speak on Runa, as I simply have not seen any specific data to support its use, I do have a lot of data on other solutions that offer popups, or video, in an attempt to push shoppers through, and the data has been less than stellar.
It is very important to look at the specific abandonment data for your store and determine the issues, then look at non-intrusive solutions.
Some questions:
1. is shopper abandonment higher on certain steps in the process?
2. is shopper abandonment pretty well even throughout?
3. is the volume of shoppers entering the checkout process low in the first place?
...any additional statistical data on the abandonment rate would be helpful. -
