Re: Production Release 8 Beta Issues/Bugs

    Hello,
this is not really a bug. If you click on the links button in admin it displays the full store links. If short links are turned on you might want to also display the short links.
    Thanks,

Re: Production Release 8 Beta Issues/Bugs

Hello forum: While testing our DEV PR8 MMUI store, we are seeing a black bar maybe 10 px high across the top of the PROD page. This is with IE7 on XP. Don't see it on IE8 or FF 4.

      Our DEV site is http://dev.rvparksupplies.com
Wonder if anyone else can see this or if I'm just imagining things.

Hi again: Looking a bit more, this only happens when we have a product in the cart.
We are using a toolkit created mini basket, could be a problem with our implementation of it.

If it helps I also use the toolkit mini basket but have not seen any problems that you are describing.

This is also not a bug but from I can tell so far.

There should be some ability to batch image a swatch attribute image easier. Similar to assigning a product to categories with check boxes maybe? With the current set up if you want to swap out a blue coat you need to assign the image to every variant for blue no matter the size.

My observations could be incorrect but here goes anyway.

So in the real world with a real live coat in four colors and sizes 40,42,48 and then talls as well etc. There are almost 90 variants created for one item number. With only four colors you need to assign each one very slowly to make sure you don't miss one.

This may be something I have done to my pages but I'm not really able to go backwards at this point to find out. So I am hoping someone else can confirm what I am seeing.

If you use the swatch select attribute and add images to some and not others you end up with a missing image.

It seems to be it should be checking to see if the swatch image exist.

                Attribute Machine

                Current settings
                Do Not Preload & Cascade

This works great for products with swatch drop select. If the first available color attribute goes out of stock in all sizes then the image gets removed and all is well.

These current setting seem to not be working out as well with normal drop down. If you go out in all sizes of the first available color it displays as greyed out until you change a size.

                  Hello,
My store Is randomly losing the cssui.css style sheet. If I upload the CSS file it will display correctly for a few hours or days then, it will lose access to it again.
If I FTP the store the file is actually present, if I upload and overwrite it seems to correct the problem.
Is anybody else seeing this problem?
                  I'm using Firefox 4.0.

Here is the link reference to The stylesheet:
                  Code:
                  <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="css/00000001/cssui.css" media="all" />
                  Thanks,

Nevermind. There was a setting in Order Manager I needed to change, seems to be working now.

Re: Production Release 8 Beta Issues/Bugs

Thought I would post here first since I'm using PR8.

I was wondering if there was a way for my coded titles to show up correctly in the browser title bar? I am currently coding the titles like this:

COMPANY&reg; PRODUCT NAME <i>(Sold in packages of 5)</i>

Throughout the store it looks fine, but it appears like the above in the browser title bar.

I did change the &reg; to ® to test on one product and it worked on the product display page but gave me a diamond in it's place on the category thumbnail page.

Just wondering if there was a way to have it display properly throughout the store including in my list of products without having the have it coded like the above? I am most concerned about the reg mark. I could lose the italics.

                        Thank you!

This doesn't really have to do with the PR8 Beta so you may want to post it as a regular topic. If it shows up on the prod page correct and not the ctgy you probably have two different character sets going on. I wouldn't really suggest using html in your product names but to get it to display without it in the title you would need to use toolkit or toolbelt to strip out the html.

                            "Import"," Export" Craziness

Just for fun I tested an attempt at exporting categories from MMUI PR8 to a dev store CSSUI PR8.

Exported with the new csv extension. Opened in Excel and everything looked ok and just did a find and replace to get rid of double spaces.

Next step saved and imported in to CSSUI however when it did the import it created many of them incorrectly and I am sure because there are commas in my category headers.

So the problem is that it created a ton of garbage categories when the columns got messed up by seeing the extra commas which the import did not show.(assigning columns did not show that there were extra columns) Implying that it should be ok to me.

OK so it created a tone of bad categories with codes like
                            <strong>At Kamik
PrAnas commitment to the environment begins here
is simple: wear HeatGear when it's hot

So the next step was to delete them all and try again however I have not been able to delete them all. I am stuck with four categories that will not delete. and give an error message when trying to delete them of
                            Code:
Miva Merchant has encountered a fatal error and is unable to continue. The following information may assist you in determining the cause of the error:

Yet they still show in the miva admin.

They should have never been created in the first place because
Use Strict Validation for Codes is checked for the dev store.
