    UPS WorldShip?

    Hi folks --

One of my clients has asked me to help them set up a store to work with UPS WorldShip. My impression so far is that there are easier ways to handle this, maybe with just a good reporting and label-printing module. Do any of you use WorldShip? Do you like it?

    Thanks -- Kent

We use worldship for all UPS shipments. It's great because everyone can access worldship over our network and handle any shipping issues.

We however also use shipworks which does the work of exporting and importing shipments details to worldship.

Hi Mark -- thanks for the reply.

What, specifically, do you use WorldShip for? My client's needs are pretty simple; I'm not sure if they really need Worldship at all. Most Miva stores get along fine without it. But since I'm not a merchant myself, I don't know that much about the day-to-day business of shipping orders. I can't give the client an informed opinion about whether they need Worldship. I was hoping to find out what value or unique features it provides.

      Thanks again --

With the info getting exported from shipworks it is extremely easy to use. We use it for all of Ups shipments so it gives us one place for it all. Any shipping issues, tracking and redirecting are all done with worldship. Shipping employees simply need to enter the order number to populate all of the worldship fields. Hit process and you get a label. Than tracking info gets sent back in order to be emailed to re customer.

At the end of the day you just close re day and it prints a barcode label for the driver to scan.

Also very quick way to get negotiated rates with just a zip and weight

Mark, Does shipworks integrate with a miva merchant store? Is it a module?

It is a complete piece of shipping / order software that runs as a SaaS (monthly fee) It uses a connector module to you Miva store and is integrated.

The software can be used across a local network so the moment I put a note on an order my coworkers can see it. It also logs any operations such has printing an order. You can set it up to auto e-mail customers tracking numbers when you process an order or do it manually.

The list of things it can do could go on for awhile so since it comes with a 30 day free trial I would suggest trying it.

We have T-Hub to work for UPS WorldShip. We need get ship data from MivaMerchant and import to UPS WorldShip. So we would ship out the order without double data entry.
