REST or SOAP API for native mobile app access to MIVA Store

    Hi all,

I'm a mobile app developer who has been approached by a company that runs a MIVA-based e-commerce site. They require native iPhone and Android apps for their store.

The apps need specific smartphone features that preclude the use of a mobile optimised version of their e-commerce website.

Therefore, I would plan to write native apps that use either a REST or SOAP API to connect to their MIVA store allowing customers to login, browse, search and place orders.

I assumed there would be an existing API in place for this type of thing but all I can find is reference to MIVA script, which I assume relies on a server-side interpreter. Thus, I don't see how it is possible to connect to MIVA using a native mobile app, which cannot run the MIVA script interpreter.

Are REST or SOAP-based APIs available for MIVA stores?
