reCAPTCHA and PayPal not playing nice together

reCAPTCHA is screwing up our PayPal orders. I just placed a test order and here's how it went...

1 - On the final checkout page I entered the two words into reCAPTCHA then I hit the Complete Order button
2 - I was taken to PayPal where I finished the order
3 - PayPal says it's complete and it's redirecting me back to our website
4 - When I get back I'm on the same page (with reCAPTCHA) I was before with an error saying One or more required fields were not filled out correctly but I should be on the confirmation screen with an order number.

To make sure it was reCAPTCHA I turned it off and tried again and it worked perfectly.

Anyone else come across this problem?

hmmm...why are you chasing customers away by making them fill out yet another form?

      Heed Bruce's advice!!!

You should NOT require people who want to put money in your pocket to try and decipher some squiggly lines first...

Of course I don't want to but desperate times... yada yada. I won't go into details since we have been covering this in another thread:

Anywhoo, neither of you actually tried to answer the question of why it doesn't work with PayPal. Hopefully this question will be moot soon cause I don't want to have reCAPTCHA up long.

I have spoken to Dev about this. You're correct reCaptcha and PayPal don't work together.

We will fix this at some point (we're going to add a feature making it conditional so you can specify what Payment methods it works on), but not in the next few weeks.
          Thanks,

Okay, good to know it's on the To-Do list. Like I said, I don't want to use reCAPTCHA but it always nice to find bugs so they can be fixed.

I agree... The Captcha is just an xtra entity that just ticks people off. Half the time they are hard to read, typos, etc... i would never use one in an atmosphere that is meant to be friendly Territory and a situation that demands moving forward.
