Alternate Image on CAT page

Hey Everyone,

I have created a new page to use as an alternate category display. It is going to be for a special curated category page, so we wanted the same products to look different on this page then the rest of the category pages. I set up the alternate images we want to display as Alt4. However no image shows up on the category page when I try to call it. Is this even a possibility?

Sorry if this has been answered on the forums already, I've searched, but couldn't find any solution that worked.

Yes, it's possible.
On your alternate category display page under the 'category product list layout' are you in the point and click mode? If not switch over to it until you get your image to show up. In the point and click mode do you have an Image drop-down selection box?

Hi Gary,

Thanks for responding. When I put the page in point and click mode, I do get a drop down list, but when I select Alt4 the page has blank spaces where the photos should be. I have triple checked to make sure the photos listed for each photo as Alt4.

Anything that I may be missing?

I have tried the point and click, when I select the Alt4 in the drop down, my page has blank spaces where the jewelry pics should be. I can get the full size and thumbnail to show up, but not the alternative image.

I did try the point and click option, and I can find the alt image on the drop down, but when I go this route, I get a blank space where my product image should be. I'm sure I am probably missing something pretty simple, but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out. The image machine is working on our product page.

The Alt4 in your drop-down list means you have created an Alt4 image type. If you're certain you have uploaded an image and you have set the image type to Alt4 for the product then it must be a broken link. Try right clicking the space where the image should be and selecting "inspect element". If no link exist check to see that you have an Alt4 image assigned to the product. If there is a link it probable just can't find the image resulting in a broken link.

Make sure when you created the page and added the image machine that the fields were filled in on the category display layout image machine. Also on the category display layout tab that you have assigned the image type by checking the box.
