Add to basket link with attribute

I want a link to Add One to Basket that includes a specific attribute.

This is the basic link provided by Miva:

http://www.achievingexcellence.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=BASK&Store_Code=AE&Product_Code=plo7&Attributes=Yes&Quantity=1&Action=ADPR

The product has several attribute options. For this link I want to specify one attribute: ebook

I am not able to find an example or figure out how to place the attribute in in the Add One to Basket link.

Please advise.

If there's no way to send the link with an attribute perhaps you could use kitting/varients which would provide a separate item number for each combination.
