LTL / Freight Calculations Module

Hello,

One of our companies ships larger furniture items, such as couches, sectionals, billiard tables, etc.
We're looking for a Miva 5 module that works for items of this size and weight. Origin + Destination zip code would be real nice to have.

Is there anything that's been written for FedEx Freight? UPS Freight? Any of the larger LTL companies?

I suppose I could use one of WCW's weight-zone modules, and back into it that way by using the carrier's rate tables. That'll probably have some degree of error in it.
Or alternatively, if anyone else has some advice they could share on this topic, I would appreciate it.

How long has that been true? Does it handle the additional services like liftgate, limited access, residential delivery etc. ?

We had Kent Multer from Magic Metal create our FedEx Freight shipping module and it works very well. Kent is also very good to work with.

I believe it covers all 3, it came out in PR8 Update 5 about 2 months ago.

Hi Jim -- thanks for the plug :^) .

I've written shipping modules for Fedex LTL, Yellow Freight, Old Dominion, R&L, and a few others. Some of them have extra goodies such as support for drop-shipping, or the ability to choose whichever carrier is cheapest for each customer's location, or to use two kinds of shipping in the same order.
