This forum has been very helpful and id like to thank everyone in advanced.

Here is my problem.

I need to collect ssn along with other private info. Is there a way to add these fields without a module?

I beleive Gilligan online as an additional checkout info module, however, I would categorically advise you NOT to collect SSN numbers through a module unless that module encrypts the data (and even then would not leave the data on your server). To do so will get you into hot water with a lot of folks.

I have to agree with Bruce here... The risk involved with collecting social security numbers is extremely high and the consequences could be huge. But I would question why you need that information in the first place. I myself would not give my social security number to an e-commerce site for any reason.

Thanks for the info, im collecting the ssn for credit check for cellular phones service. Do you know of any good encrypted modules?

I think the Gilligan module does encrypt if I remember correctly; that is the only way that type of info would be collected, but I'm with Dan, I wouldn't give my SSN to anyone other than someone like my bank when I knew it was their site.

i went ahead and purchased the module. It seems like this module only adds the cvvs field and nothing more. Has anyone actually worked with this product?

Yup. My module only handles the CVV.
