Price Group Modules for Wholesale Pricing...

I'm trying to find a module for creating price groups for several different customer types... retail (no price group, standard retail pricing), wholesale (% discount off of some items, fixed price for other items, normal retail price for others), and re-seller (same criteria as wholesale but with different % discounts and fixed prices.)

I currently am using WCW Volume Pricing module so I would need the module to be able to work with that module installed.

The features I would like to see are:
    - Ability to assign a unique percentage off or a fixed price for any item within the price group.
    - Ability to see the actual retail price and discounted price so that shopper sees their savings.
    - Ability to set a minimum purchase amount for order total to be able to purchase at wholesale pricing.
    - Ability to set a minimum quantity per item for customer to receive the wholesale pricing for that item.

Is anyone doing anything like what I've described above? I've been looking at the WCW Price Group Manager mod and the Copernicus Membership mod but neither seem to do what I am looking for... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Price Group Modules for Wholesale Pricing...

    Hi There Psydde,

I don't think the MemberShip SuperMod is what you need, it more or less helps you control who gets into what groups, when and how, such as by purchasing a product, entering a secret code, crossing a buying total threshhold, etc. (eg, after they buy $1000 they gain access to group A, but when they buy $2500 they automatically get promoted to group B, they expire after 120 days, etc.) It has a points system built in as well, quite powerful, could be a fringe benefit if you need this module, but it doesn't do a lot of the things you want. Although as I recall it also has a mode to display the discounts in the basket (eg, product line item is retail price, then an attribute line item shows the discount), so you might want it for that feature. Perhaps there's another module that does this as well. For reference, the eMediaSales Price Groups by Purchase History has a little overlap in getting customers into groups automatically (not in your requirements, but worth noting).

Now, the eMediaSales ePriceManager (tiered product pricing + volume discounts) has a LOT of those features, and our product description doesn't really do it justice. It can do per price group volume / tiered pricing, you can set actual price (set $ amount) or discount from retail price (% dollar amount) for each price group at each volume tier, it can calculate the volume tiers qualification by aggregating all different products in the basket rather then depending on how many of a single product they purchase, etc. You can set the first volume tier to have no discount, achieving the "minimum item count per product" requirement. VERY flexible for dialing in your wholesale pricing. Note that this would be a replacement of your current tiered pricing module.

Add in the Price Minimums for Groups and Tax Free Customers and Products (both also in the eMediaSales Everything subscription) and you can make sure the wholesale customers get correct pricing, can't purchase too little, and get taxed (or not) appropriately.

Add in the Layout Manager (also in the eMediaSales Everything subscription) and you can create a volume order form, where you can show quantity boxes on the category page - a different layout for the wholesale customers based on being in a particular group - so it's like a big order form at the category level. They just plug in the quantity they want of each and hit submit at the bottom. Works with variants too, it can show each variation as an individual product on the category page.

FYI - I'm traveling Wed/Thurs, but hit up Sabine at Glendale I think she's worked with some of these products recently.

    cheers,
