    First Data Global Gateway E4

Is anyone using this gateway with their Miva store?
Miva - any chance you will be adding this to the preconfigured payment settings?

    Thanks,
    Julie

    Julie,

I'm confused by what you're looking for. We have a recently built First Data Global Gateway (about a year old) is that not what you're looking for?
    Thanks,

No, they have a new version that is First Data Global Gateway E4. This is the one they are using and are no longer supporting the older version.

I think there's some confusion, our built in module works with what they offer today. You're not trying to use the old Linkpoint module are you?

If you are trying to use the new module and it's not working, please open a support ticket so we can investigate.

This is the first I've heard of this and as First Data resellers, I would usually expect to have heard if they deprecated a Gateway we just built.
          Thanks,

            Rick,
I tried to set this up yesterday. When I called them to as about where to find the information that Miva requests during set up:
            API Username:
            API Password:

            API Certificate (optional):

            API Private Key (optional):

They told me that was the old version.
they also told me the version of Autorize.net miva lists, v3.1, is the old version and that I would have to use the SIM version.

Re: First Data Global Gateway E4

                Julie,

I can't suggest I know more about First Data's direct products than First Data, but I can speak to Authorize.net.

3.1 is not their "old" gateway and CIM is not their "new" gateway, they're different products.

CIM is for storing cards and recurring billing and 3.1 is their traditional direct gateway.

I am also 100% certain that any Authorize.net reseller can create a normal 3.1 account today (and tomorrow) as we work very closely with Authorize.net.

I suspect this is someone trying to force you on to a Hosted Checkout page for the gateway, that's the only thing that seems to make any sense to me.

Let me ask a different question, why First Data? We are resellers of them, but they're the option of last resort from our perspective for a plethora of reasons.
                Thanks,

                  Rick,
They were the option suggested by BOA with whom we have our merchant account.

Got it. Also can you email me your ticket number, I'd like to follow the process.

I'm 100% sure Auth.net will work fine for you and I'm 99% sure our First Data Gateway implementation should be fine for you. It seems that for some reason they're trying to force you to use Auth.net's CIM product which is very odd since Miva Merchant is not a recurring billing platform.

Who told you this information on the gateways, first data or BofA?
                    Thanks,

Also if you're open to moving Merchant Accounts, I can say after trying virtually everyone and everything in the industry we really love Chase Paymentech.

It takes a couple weeks to jump through the hoops to get the account setup, but once setup they have been head and shoulders above everyone else we've ever used or referred to others.
                      Thanks,

It is actually Authorize.net SIM,not CIM.

Re: First Data Global Gateway E4

So with a little digging, I've found that both E4 and Authorize.net SIM are "Hosted Checkout" pages.

They don't replace the regular Authorize.net and/or the regular First Data Global Gateway, they are alternatives to it.

It's plausible that BofA has taken on a policy of forcing customers on to Hosted Checkout pages for PCI reasons, if this is the case then the only option we support natively for hosted checkout pages is PayFlow Link and PayFlow Pro.

This is a really odd and short sighted policy if that's what they've done (as hosted checkouts aren't actually any more secure) but that's the only thing that makes sense.

Can you check with BofA on this?
                              Thanks,
