How to Display a Page Name or Page Code

    Hello,

Is it possible to display a Page Code, or more importantly a Page Name on the page itself?

I searched the board, but could not find an answer to this.

    Thanks in advance!

    Those would be &mvte:page:name; and &mvte:page:code;
Is this what you're looking for?

    Cheers!

      Ron,

That's what I thought it would be, as well. However, when I use that code, it displays nothing on the page.
Is there something else that I'm missing here?

      Thanks

That seems pretty odd. Is this a custom page that you added? Or an existing page?

I've tried it on pages that initially came pre-built, when I purchased my Miva Store, and also on custom pages that I've added. And, I actually have 2 miva stores, and can't get this to work on either of them.

          The following all render properly... &mvt:store:name; , &mvt:category:name; , &mvt:product:name;
Only the page name won't display. It's confusing.

That is quite bizarre. What version of Miva are you running? Maybe this variable is not available in older versions of the software?
Current most up to date version would be:

            Miva Merchant 5.5
            Production Release 8 Update 7
            Miva Merchant Engine v5.17
            Database API: mysql

That might the issue... I haven't installed the latest update. I'll do that and try it again. Thanks for the advice.

What version are you running? I can't imagine this would be the case unless it's really out of date. If this case you may not want to just jump in and update your store.

What version are you on now? MMUI or CSSUI?

Re: How to Display a Page Name or Page Code

                  Here's what I'm currently running:

                  Miva Merchant 5.5
                  Production Release 5
                  Miva Merchant Engine v5.13
                  Database API: mysql

And, to be honest, I'm not sure if I'm running MMUI or CSSUI. I'm assuming I would look under the "Frameworks" Tab to find this? My Frameworks currently include both an MMUI and a CSSUI.

Re: How to Display a Page Name or Page Code

This may be the issue. Production Release 5 vs. Production Release 8 Update 7.

Maybe someone from Miva can jump in here and advise. That a pretty big jump to get you to the current version.

Are you running any third party modules in your store? Which ones? Some modules may need to be updated before you update your store to the current version.

Re: How to Display a Page Name or Page Code

Yeah Production Release 5 came out 4.5 years ago and is very outdated at this point. If you're seeing an MMUI Framework, then you're on MMUI.

You can with some minor caveats safely stream from PR5 to PR8, but I would follow these steps:

                      1. Make sure all of your third party modules are up to date.
                      2. Open a support ticket.
                      3. Have support walk you through streaming your updates.
                      4. Test to make sure nothing unexpected happened.

Once you're on PR8, streaming in the future will be even less of a burden as we know check for out of date Third Party Modules, but we didn't start that until PR7.
