Minimum and Maximum Quantity module - Price Groups

I just purchased the Minimum & Maximum Quantity module by Emporium Plus as I saw that the latest version allows you to set minimum/maximum quantities for Price Groups.

Now that I am trying to use it I am unsure of how to set a minimum quantity for a product in one price group, but a different minimum quantity for the same item in another price group.

For example, my Price Groups include Manufacturer and Reseller. For Widget-A I want to require the Reseller to buy 10 to receive the Reseller Price, but the Manufacturer is only required to buy 5 to receive the Reseller Price.

Is anyone familiar with how to set up this scenario?

    Thanks for any help!

It won't do that. The setting "Apply restrictions to customers in only these price groups if they are logged in when adding to the basket" means any of the price groups in the list will restrict those customers to the configured product minimums. Everybody NOT in the list of price groups will be able to buy any quantity of an item. This forces price group customers to buy in bulk. But it does not have different settings for each price group. The folks who asked for that feature did not want a major level of complexity. They just wanted customers who were getting price group discounts to buy in bulk.

There are only 2 Price Groups that I am trying to assign different minimums to, since one group get a much larger discount. Do you think that it could be done in combination between Minimum & Maximum Quantities, and the Toolkit?

I am also using the Price Group Manager to to assign varying discount rates to different groups of products if that makes any difference.

      Thanks for any suggestions.

The Tool Kit can block checkout for specific price groups but it doesn't have the same capabilities where the min/max module auto-adjusts the quantity added to the basket. In the min/max there is only one set of min/max rules for the products. You scenario would require a module that has unlimited number of rules sets; a set for each potential price group. Some stores have dozens of price groups. Nobody has ever asked me for that capability so I guess it is only a minute (maybe just yours) stores that need it.

So if I have a product set at a retail price, then add a price group for wholesalers to get 40% off, but the wholesalers are required to buy a minimum of 10, this module will work since I only actually have one price group setup? Also, my store is CSSUI, not MMUI

Yes, but you have to do another step if you have potential cheaters. For example, a wholesale customer could log in to get the discount price and put the required quantity in the basket. Then they could log out. They could change the quantity in the basket, but they would still have the discounted price because the item would use that price. Then they could checkout. To prevent that you would need to add an action in the log out link that would empty the basket. If they were a real cheater, they could even defeat that by editing the link to remove that action.

What 'action' would I need to add to the logout link? Would there be any other way to implement this to eliminate the chance for 'cheaters'? Maybe a different module? Thanks.

This link runs an Emporium Plus Tool Kit function to clear the basket.
                Code:
                <a href="&mvt:global:secure_sessionurl;Action=NEW,LOGO&SubScreen=TKCLEAR&Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=&mvta:global:Store_Code;">Logout</a>

Re: Minimum and Maximum Quantity module - Price Groups

Does anyone using this module know if there is any way to apply minimums to all the products in a certain category without having to enter each product itself; or perhaps a way to make a wild card for all items that begin with a specific item code? I have several broad categories of items that come in hundreds of size variations (all unique items however, not variants of a single item) and am hoping there might be a quicker way to apply minimums to them..

                  Thanks,
