Because I am not able to update customer shipping information, I do not show a login option on my website. Miva Syncro Products cannot update with tracking numbers, etc. because we use attributes on several of our products. Our process runs from Miva to Quick Books to our Shipping Programs for Indicia and UPS. The tracking numbers come back to Quick Books but cannot be uploaded into Miva

This means that our customers must enter all of their information each time they check out. I would like to have the autoload option for their checkout information. But to have them look at prior order information that includes shipping details would be a problem as they always show that shipping has not taken place.

Our order volume does not allow for manual updating of the order shipping status and tracking information.

Is there a way to allow customer login but not show them the shipping status for prior orders, or at least eliminate access to order history?

You can have login and account management without order history/status functionality by not adding any links to those features/pages.

We added the ability for a customer to retrieve their bill to & ship to info from the OCST page. Done with AJAX and a simple PHP program.
It's very fast, returns the information typically in less tha 2 seconds thanks to our Host Hostasaurus.
We first attempt to get the Bill to/Ship To info from the customer's latest order or if there is no order then from their customer record.

Works well for us.

You can have login and account management without order history/status functionality by not adding any links to those features/pages.

And to make it easy to get customers to create an account, you can use our dead-simple, Easy Account module. Customers don't have to create an account until they are finished checking out.
