Issue with Endicia passphrase and moving into 'Production' status

I have an Endicia account and have activated the module in MM. I have entered the correct account number, temporary passphrase, and selected the services I for which want to print labels. Update with no issues. I then changed the passphrase and received a success message. I make certain the new passphrase is in the field and hit update. No issues. I then change 'Test' to 'Production', hit update and receive the error "Unable to update: The Certified Intermediary’s pass phrase is incorrect. Error encountered (Log ID: 32902)".

Endicia support so far has been less than helpful and I feel that I'm getting the standard answers for someone not using MM. Has anyone else had this issue and/or know of the solution?

Remember that the password to login to your endicia account might be different than the password to purchase postage from endicia.

I'm also having issues with Endicia, but a little different. When I switch to production I receive no error messages although under the Account Postage area it shows n/a on the balance, printed and last updated fields. If I click Recredit Account I can add postage to my account and then go to endicia.com and verify that my account was credited so i know that I'm connected to my Endicia account correctly.

But this seams really crazy to me. Even though I have the Endicia module activated with priority shipping services activated it will not show up as a shipping method on the OSEL page. I have to enable the USPS Online Rate Calculation module before a shipping method becomes available.

      Good morning (almost afternoon) Michael,

In Test mode, none of your information is actually used or modified. IE, you could enter 123456 for the ID and 123456 for the passphrase and it would still work (this is so people without an account can do a test run to see if they like it before they dive in). Give this a try: enter that temporary passphrase back into the "Endicia PassPhrase" field, change the Mode to Production, then hit update. You will then need to go in and do your change passphrase request again. Let me know if it gives you anymore problems!

        Hey Gary,

In response to your first issue, let me make sure I completely understand... you ARE in Production Mode and it always shows N/A under the Account Postage section? After you do a Recredit Account request, does it still show N/A for the balance? Are the other two fields (Postage Printed/Last Updated) showing N/A as well?

To the second part you mentioned, the Endicia module does not currently support live rates, only label generation (in admin).

Yes I AM in production Mode and it shows

When I Recredit Account it will update to the correct balance, postage printed and last updated. But the next time the page refreshes everything goes back to the N/A values.

I took a deeper look through the code and found that this is actually a bug with the current version. I've filed it and the fix should be out with the next update. Thanks for pointing this out!

Thank you Ryan for this prompt response. I didn't have a chance to try this. Endicia did resolve the issue on their end resetting the passphrase for me. I will say that they have been very prompt in getting back to me. My only issue was that their first few responses were rather generic in nature and didn't resolve the issue.

Perhaps the doc on how to use this module should clearly state the order to complete the items. Your response was much more informative than the online doc. Thank you again for your assist.
