    Inventory Variants

I am trying to set up some corrugated boxes in my Miva Store. I would like each size to have the option of buying by the bundle (25), or bale(2500). Is the inventory variants the proper place to do this, or do I need two seperate items? It would be nice to have a drop down window or something to give customers the option. Any feedback is always welcome! Thanks!

    Re: Inventory Variants

Inventory Variants would be the right way to do that (Inventory Kits actually, but it's the same basic system).

When I click inventory variants or kits builder, there is nothing listed.. Can you give me a few points to create one size with two different quantity options?

It's all covered in the Reference Guide: www.mivamerchant.com/referenceguide

As well as Pamela's free ebook: http://www.mivacentral.com/Merchant2...SI-MM55EBOOKWC

Thanks for the reference guide.. I have read through the sections on products, and it appears that the attributes option would work the best, as customers can click the product, then choose bundle ($4.25) or bale ($425). When i follow the steps, and choose the bale (more expensive option) the price ($425) does not transfer to the cart. It still shows $4.25. Am I not very bright, or just being difficult?

I would open a support ticket, you likely don't have the Variants configured correctly.

We use attributes for something similar. Works great. Leave the product page price at $0.00 and set one attribute for each quantity. Remember to the put the price in both the description and the price field. Also check the Required field so the customer has to select one of the items when placing an order. This method has reduced the number of part numbers for items requiring a color or size selection by 50%.
